Large, medium or small bass clarinet or bassoon stand?

For me (with a low C German bass clarinet) the medium version is the most stable. The center of gravity of the instrument is right above the center of the stand. However: most bass clarinetists already know the high metal bass clarinet stands by K&M and Hercules, and buy the large version, because they think big equals good. Ain’t necessarily so: even the small version can be stable enough for a low C as well as low Eb instrument, when you’re not using a very long peg.

Bassoon players already know and trust the very short Reeds-n-Stuff (or similar models) stands, so they know that short is good enough. The small bassoon stand is even shorter than the small bass clarinet stand, but it is one of our most sold products, together with the large bass clarinet stand.

With the large bass clarinet stand you are able to see for yourself what is best for you in your situation, because it is a combination of the large, medium and small stand.
